Ashby's 1st day of Kindergarten

We all survived Asbhy's 1st day of Kindergarten!! Ashby's 1st day of Kindergarten happened to fall on Ryan's 30th birthday! What an eventful day. Ryan was able to "sleep in" a bit and workout then come to school with us to drop Ashby off for her 1st day. We were all glad to have him there with us. Ashby was very excited and was not nervous at all. She waved good-bye to us, gave Dalton 3 or 4 hugs, and smiled the whole way into the classroom. I was pretty emotional and shed many tears especially in the car on the way home reading the poem her teacher gave to us. What a big step today is for all of us. We are so excited and happy for Ashby to start school. It is really bitter sweet because it really seems as if your "baby" is all grown up now.

When we picked Ashby up (she only goes half day: 2.5 hrs.) she was happy and excited to tell me all about her day. She said she had a great day and a lot of fun. Me, Ashby & Dalton went to Sonic for lunch to celebrate and let Ashby tell us all about her day. It was a good day. . . I'm glad we all survived!
