First step of her room make-over was to paint the walls a different color and put up some wainscoting (white decorative wall paneling) half way up the walls. Her room was a neutral beige color so we decided to paint her walls a brownish/tan color. I really like how it makes the pink "pop".
We had my brother Jason put up the wainscoting. He did such a great job. I was so impressed. He is a genius mechanic and can figure out just about anything. He completed her whole room really fast too. Thanks Jason!!
Ashby's favorite part about her new room is her desk. She loves doing homework there or drawing pictures and writing stories.
Here is another view of the room and the dresser/mirror. It has been so nice having a real dresser in her room to store clothes in. It feels much more organized now.
I still have some finishing decorative touches to add: wall art, pink and brown window treatments, a clock, and a few more accessories. With baby #3 on the way that is almost one room down 2 more to go! Yay for re-decorating!

SO cute. Love it!
I was watching home videos with the kids today of us playing with you at Great Basin. Sure miss you guys!
I LOVE that you painted her room brown and accent with pink... we think the same. That's how Paige's room looks. BUT, I don't have the Wayne's Coating... Bart has been talking about doing it ever since we moved in, but we haven't been able to do it yet. I'm so excited to see it all done :) It looks AWESOME! What a precious big girl room. It turned out great!
Love it! Love it! Love it! It looks amazing! Shanna
Holy perfect room, Batman! It looks like it came straight out of a catalogue! :) Lucky girl!
