Ryder’s 1st Birthday

For Ryder’s first birthday we decided to do the theme, “One in a flash”.  I found this idea online and thought it was a darling idea.  It was especially perfect since I LOVE taking pictures and I had taken a ton of Ryder his first year.  Here was the invitation I made (inspired by one I found online).  I found the cute onsie he is wearing from a store on Etsy and based the color scheme off that.

Daddy, Mommy and the birthday boy!Here are some of the decorations around the house.  I love these polka dot balloons and all the fun bright colors. One in a flash photo banner.  This was fun and easy to make.  I found this idea on pinterest(of course).  Just take some ric-rac ribbon with mini clothespins and hang up the pics on the ribbon.  Hot glue a bunch of different colored ribbon off the side of each row and call it good!  So cute!  I also put Ashby to work and had her cut out number 1’s out of scrapbook paper to put on all the walls.  She was so excited about her assignment!       

My talented friend Gina (The Cake Reno) made both cakes for me.  I really loved how it turned out! 

12 month photo banner.  It was so fun going back month by month and looking at old pictures.  It is so neat how much they change and grow each month.

 

 

 

We kept it simple for the games and had the kids decorate number 1’s with stickers and crayons.  They had fun with it.  For dinner we had pizza and salad.  It was fun visiting with family and loving on our little boy.  He is so sweet. 

Singing to the birthday boy! Cake time! I can’t believe they’re letting me do this!! This is awesome!  Presents!! Earlier in the morning we took all the kids to pick up Ryder’s balloons and eat lunch together.  We ate at Wendy’s which was close by.  I let Ryder have some of my frosty and he was in heaven!  Then we headed home and he had a good nap before his party.  We had such a fun time with all the family.  The kids get so excited to see everyone.  It was crazy doing 2 parties within days of each other but it was a lot of fun too.  Happy 1st Birthday Ryder!!
