Okay now I get it. All my friends have been telling me for awhile that I needed to take my kids to Disneyland. I was reluctant at first because I thought they were to
o young since they are only 4 & 2. I was so wrong. This was the funnest vacation we have ever had. Everyone in our family had a blast! Disneyland is truly a magical place. It is hard to describe for those who haven't experienced it for themselves. I was definitely skeptical but now I am a believer! We were able stay for 3 days at the park. Which ended up being a perfect amount of time for us. We were able to see and do everything we wanted without feeling rushed. I think our kids really were at the perfect age. Ashby and Dalton were so e
xcited to meet all the characters. Especially the princesses for Ashby. They loved the rides! The best part is we could all go on the rides together as a family. Some of our favorites were Pirates of the Caribbean, Splash Mountain, Soarin' over California, and every one's favorite including Dalton and Ashby was the Matterhorn! We couldn't believe they both liked that one so much. Dalton was talking about the red eyes of the Snow Monster the whole trip (and still to this day actually). One thing we all loved was the parade. It was amazing! We liked it so much we saw it twice. We also spent a lot of time in Fairytale land. Which has the classics like Dumbo, the horse Carasole, Peter Pan, Train Ride, Storybook boat can
al, etc. We also really liked the Jungle Cruise. The animals look so real. The kids really enjoyed seeing all the animals up close. Ashby and Dalton also loved going to Toon Town and meeting all the characters especially Mickey and Minnie Mouse. The loved Goofy's and Minnie's house to play in the best. They also had a pretty fun little roller coaster the kids loved in Toon Town as well. We were pleasantly surprised how well Dalton did waiting in lines and not having to go to the bathroom right before a ride or anything. It was so nice not to have to worry about changing a diaper! It turned out to be really nice too because both our kids loved all the rides and weren't scared to go on any rides. So Ryan and I were happy about that so we could go on some fun rides too. We had so much fun we are going to try and go every year. We especially liked going around Halloween time. The weather is perfect....not too hot or too cold. The park isn't as crowded as it is during the summer months. And the decorations and the atmosphere around Halloween time is awesome. This is a disclaimer for all the pics & text. I am sorry there are so many...I couldn't help myself! Also this is for scrapbooking purposes. A friend showed me this great website that will "slurp" your blog pages and create a scrapbook out of them. The address is http://www.blurb.com/

I LOVE DISNEYLAND! I would live there if I could. I'm so glad you guys got to go. Try it in Feb if you want NO lines. Another fun time is November- they have all their Christmas stuff up, but the rush hasn't happened yet! How fun!!I'm so jealous! Now I have Disney fever again! It doesn't take much for me. :)
Thanks for the blog scrapbook tip- I've been looking for a place like that.
So fun. I'm so glad you had a blast and that you're home safe and sound. I was thinking of you while you were away...totally jealous!! I know what you mean about magic. When we lived in Florida, we frequented DisneyWorld. There really is something incredible about seeing the magic through children's eyes!
I LOVE THESE PHOTOS! I really wish we would have been there with you. It looks like such a fun time. Can you believe that it REALLY is the happiest most fun and stress free place on earth...IT IS! I want to go back so bad. Maybe next year. Thanks for letting me relive my Disneyland adventure through your photos!
