We were able to take a mini family vacation to Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo California along with Ryan's brother and his family. It is a great little trip because it is only a couple of hours away. It was a blast! The kids had so much fun and really enjoyed all the rides and shows. Dalton has been waiting to go to "Marine World" for a long time to get a new Shouka(killer whale's name) stuffed animal. His previous Shouka we had to throw away because it got ruined. He was thrilled beyond belief to get his new one. During the Killer Whale show he kept yelling, "Shouka I love you! You are my favorite!" It was hilarious. Ashby was able to go on some bigger rides with Ryan this time which she loved. She has always been pretty fearless. And Dalton was able to go on some rides all by himself this time. So that was kind of fun for me to just watch him go by himself. Dalton couldn't get enough of the rides though. We would get off one and he would say, "Let's go on another one!" I think he could have rode the rides all night if we would have let him. After Marine World we stayed in a Hotel overnight and got up the next morning and headed to the Folsom Zoo. It was fun and the kids really enjoyed the train ride they had there. On our way back home we stopped at Ikeda's for lunch. A family tradition for both Ryan and I. It is very yummy. We had a great trip.
