We had our first snow of the season here. It was a good storm too. I think it dumped at least 6-8 inches on the valley floor.
Ashby & Dalton were SOOOOOOOO excited to go outside and play in the snow. We were very ill-prepared this year . . . Dalton had to wear Ashby's PINK snow boots from last year because he had none(BTW he couldn't care less if they were pink, with a big sister around he loves the color pink! Just don't tell his Dad! :) ), all Ashby had to wear for boots were her rain boots and her snow suit from last year that was a bit snug, and Dalton's only winter hat was one I've had since he was 1yr old! I guess it is time to go shopping!

Ashby and Dalton had a great time playing in the snow. They were both running around yelling, "We love snow! We love snow!" It was so fun to watch them play in the snow together. They loved throwing snow in the air, making snow angels, digging in the snow, and making fresh tracks in it. Such a fun snow day!
In the afternoon I attempted to take the kids to the park by our house and go sledding. They had a good time but Dalton's hands started to get too cold due to his lack of good snow gloves so we didn't last very long. Ashby was disappointed b/c she really wanted to stay longer to sled. It was fun while it lasted though.
The best thing I did with the kids that they absolutely loved was to just take them in the sled on the streets by our house and pull them while running. It was a great workout pulling those two kiddies and they had so much fun riding. Maybe I should skip the treadmill tomorrow and just do a sled workout!!

Fantastic snow pictures! I especially like the one of them looking longingly out the window at all the beautiful fallen snow.
