Halloween Happenings

The kids before going to our ward Halloween party.
We were bummed this Halloween fell on a Sunday.  We decided we didn't want the kids to Trick or Treat on Sunday so we made sure the kids had a lot of fun things to look forward to the week leading up to Halloween.
Our ward party was on Saturday and it was awesome!!  They had a yummy dinner and then the kids played games and trick or treated to all the rooms in the church.  The rooms were decorated so neat and the games they had were really fun.  They even had a craft room where kids could make lollipop ghosts and spiders.  Ashby and Dalton both won at the cake walk.
Next we went with a bunch of our friends to the safe harbor trick or treat at our local high school.  It was a blast.  It was nice because it wasn't very crowded and the kids could go from game to game without having to wait forever for their turn.  I am so glad we tried it out.  They had a lot of cute games set-up for the kids to play, face-painting, and lots of candy for prizes.  The kids had a great time.  It was fun to go with our friends for the adults too.  We will definitely do this one again next year.  The best part was it was free!!

Dalton playing a bean bag toss game.
Ashby playing another bean bag toss game.
This was one of the kids favorite games called Spin the Wheel.  They had to spin the wheel to see what kind of candy they would get.  Dalton hit the "jackpot" and got to pick 3 of his favorite kinds of candy.  I thought it was such a cute game.  The kids loved it.
Ashby getting her face painted.  She chose a black cat. =)
Dalton picking out his prize.  What to choose!!
Ashby had a crazy hair day the last day of school.  We had fun doing this style we called, "Mohawk Bun Buns".
