We started this fun New Year's tradition with the kids last year. I stole it from my big sis Kristi. The kids get to smash the gingerbread house they made to celebrate the new year. Dalton had so much fun! It is definitely his thing to demolish something!! Apparently Ashby is quite attached to this tradition as well. She nearly burst into tears when she saw Ryan getting ready to throw the Gingerbread houses in the trash. She claimed that she had been waiting a whole year to do this tradition! A little dramatic don't you think?!
New Year's Eve we got a babysitter and Ryan and I were able to sneak away for a movie and dinner with his parents. It was a blast. I love going on dates with my hubby! The kids had fun with their cousin Alex who babysat them.
New Year's Day we decided to try out my new Christmas present from Ryan . . . the chocolate fountain. It was so easy and delicious! Of course the kids were in heaven (and so was I).
Besides the chocolate fountain another favorite Christmas present I received was this Family Home Evening Board to put on our wall. I have always wanted one and never found one I liked. Anyways, Ryan found one for me that I love. It is already on the wall and I am loving it.

Oh, I love your FHE board! I've always wanted one too, but haven't really found one I like . . . I might have to ask you where you got it:) And the chocolate fountain? yum!
