This picture has nothing to do with this post but I just love it. Ryan took this picture of Ashby with his phone when he took her took work with him one Saturday. She looks genuinely happy in it. That is because she IS always so happy when she is spending time with her Daddy.
Anywho, recently Ashby was tested at her teachers request for our school district's Gifted and Talented program. We are happy to report that she passed with flying colors and will be able to participate in the GT program. She scored in the 99th percentile. Way to go Ashby! We are very proud and excited for her. Too bad, due to budget cuts they are not going to have a 2nd grade program anymore so Ashby will have to wait until 3rd grade to participate. Such a classic. Once she does get to participate she will get to take a bus once a week to another school and take part in different instruction that will be fun and challenging for her and other gifted learners. Hopefully it will be a good thing for her. She really loves to learn and try new things. I'm glad she seemed to inherit her Dad's IQ and not mine. lol :)

Wow...Go, Ash! Congrats on such a great score (though it's no surprise :))! It's too bad the program isn't around for the second graders.
