Ringing in the new year-2013

DSC_35444x6 DSC_35454x6DSC_35464x6DSC_35504x6 DSC_35604x6 DSC_35694x6 DSC_3572New Year’s day we always let the kids smash the Gingerbread houses before we throw them away.  The kids LOVE this tradition!!  This was Brooks’ first year participating and he was loving it.  Another favorite New Year’s tradition we started was New Year’s interviews with the video camera.  I record them answering the same list of questions every year.  It has been so fun to look back at last year’s already and they are only 1 year older.  I can’t imagine how fun it will be to look back on in 10 years!  We also had crab for dinner which the kids love and so do we.  New Year’s Eve we ended up going to dinner with my parents and David and Jackie to our favorite Chinese place, Palis De Jade.  YUMMMM!!  We had a lot of fun.  The kids got to stay home with Ryan’s parents.  They had Chinese food too, and did some poppers in the garage.  Which was a hit!  Even Brooks could make them work by himself.  Happy New Year!!
