I cannot believe it is already February!! Seriously it feels like we are in the first week of January still. I got this idea from a friends’ sisters blog. It was perfect for this month. I was looking through my pics from this month and they are mostly from my iphone. I never take my camera with me anywhere like I used to. I have too much other stuff to carry and worry about. See, change is possible!! Ha! We had a fun New Year’s Eve with my parents and Brother and Sister in law. This is the only pic I have of the night and it wasn’t even from my camera! Thanks Jackie. Isn’t my Mom beautiful? She doesn’t age I tell you! New Year’s Day we ate crab with the kids. It was delicious.
I love making cookies with the kids Sunday nights. The chocolate craving usually hits hard after the 3 hour block. :) The best news of the new year is that Ryder is in Nursery now the last two hours! Hallelujah!! He loves it so far. I am soooo grateful. It has been a LONG 18 months!!
Both Ashby and Dalton started basketball in January. They LOVE it! They have played in a few games so far and both are doing awesome.
I got to go with Dalton on his class field trip to the Discovery Museum. We both had a great time.
The boys love their bath time and so do I! Me and my little buddy Brooks love having some one on one time together while Dalton is at school and Ryder is napping. Life is good!
I got to help out with a fun “little man” themed shower for a friend. It turned out so cute, and the food was delish! Mmmmmm.
I started a new workout challenge for the month of January from dailyhiit. They are all high intensity interval training workouts you do from home. They are generally pretty short (like 12-20 min long) but very intense. It is going great, I love going hard on the workouts everyday. I am still running about 3 times a week. I really love the changes I am seeing in my body and muscles I haven’t seen in a long time!! :) I’m working on getting a 4 pack (baby steps, right?!).
The weather was nice toward the end of the month so we played outside quite a bit. We even made it to the park one day. Just when I thought I was past the stage of Brooks running away from me at the park, Ryder started doing the same thing while Brooks played happily at the park. Ahhh!! These boys drive me crazy.
Dalton and Brooks are best buddies on most days. They especially love dressing up and playing together. Their latest kick is playing football or boxing each other. It is a riot to watch.
Dalton lost his 2nd front tooth while Ryan and I were visiting my sister in Colorado for the weekend. Ryan’s parents watched the kids for us. He was so excited. He bit on a chicken nugget and almost swallowed it, but spit it out just in time!
I didn’t take ONE picture while we visited my sister and her family in Colorado for a weekend. So sad! We had a really fun time there. We went out to dinner several times, hit up our favorite Chick Fil A, and got to see Ty play in his bball game. We also went to a Colorado College bball game to watch a son of a fellow attorney Ryan works closely with at NV Energy. Of course we went to the outlet mall and had fun visiting with everyone. I wish we could do that every month-- seriously. So here’s a throwback picture for you from the last time we visited her way back in 2009! I was about 4 months pregnant with Brooks in this picture!! I love my sis!!
