Ashby spoke in our Stake Conference a few weeks ago(she’s 9 years old). Pretty amazing. She did an awesome job. We were so proud of her. She was actually so excited to speak. Afterwards she said she had wished she could have spoke for longer and that it went by too fast. Wow. I sat on the stage with her while Ryan and his parents helped with the other kids. My brother Jason recorded most of it from his iphone. He just missed the first part of her talk where she opened with a little joke. It was really neat Ashby invited two of her teachers from school to hear her and they both came. I really felt the Spirit when she spoke. Her testimony of the Book of Mormon is strong and we enjoyed reading it together every night until she reached her goal of finishing the whole book by herself. She is such a special little girl. I feel like the Lord is preparing her to do great things in His Kingdom already. We feel blessed each day to be her parents. She received many sweet compliments' and letters from people telling her how much they enjoyed her talk or how it touched them. It was definitely a special day.
