I told Dalton yesterday morning that we might go to the pool the next day. We didn't talk about it anymore after that. So this morning when I get him from bed at 7:30am the first words out of his mouth were, "Mommy, we're going to the pool today right?!" I was surprised he had remembered. So off we went at 10am and had a great time. The pool was empty and we had the place all to ourselves. The kids were thrilled they got to go swimming again. They even posed for a quick pic before they got in.....for Dalton that really means something!!

Ashby started jumping off the side of the pool into the water all by herself while yelling, "Cannon-Ball!" Dalton loved watching her jump from the side over, and over again. Ashby was very pleased with herself and her newly
acquired skill.

Smiles were easy to come by at the pool! Dalton loved every minute of swimming today. He is my little fish!

If you look closely you can see Dalton eating some fishes with his mouth, not wanting to take out his hands from the warm towel wrap he was in. It was pretty funny.

This is how both kids looked after swimming for a couple of hours. I think that is the stillest I have ever seen Dalton....besides when he is sleeping. He took a good nap today! :)

Now I think I am seeing the many good sides to having a boy (it only took 2 1/2 yrs! :) ). Dalton helped me pick up all the pool toys by himself and loaded the wagon and then pulled the wagon full of stuff all the way home all by himself(gladly and without my asking for his help). Then when we got home he unloaded all the stuff for me again without my asking for his help. I can picture this little guy in the future years fixing my flat tires, taking out the trash, lifting heavy things for me, serving his family, and being an amazingly hard worker....just like his Daddy. Ryan would say, "It's just the Bellows way!" I love that. Thank goodness for boys!
