Kinder fair
Last night I took Ashby to Kinder fair at her elementary school she will attend in July. Ashby had a great time. She loved meeting her teacher and seeing her new classroom. The teachers had them participate in some Reading and Math activities. They were cute activities and all the future kindergartners loved them. I think reality is really setting in for everyone now. Ashby is definitely ready for school...it is just so hard letting go. When we walked up to the big school Ashby said, "Mom its okay to feel a little bit nervous right?" I assured her it definitely was okay and gave her my hand as we walked in. (BTW the 1st day of school I know I will be a total wreck in the car ride home!) I know going to Kinder fair is not that big of a deal for most parents (especially those who have done it like 3 or 4 times) but for us it was a big deal. It signifies the end of an era. I know together we will have many more happy and great school memories to come. I love you so much Ashby. I am so proud of what a great girl you have become.
This was Ashby last September at the beginning of her Preschool year. In just 7 months she has grown up and changed so much. I cannot imagine how much she will change in the next couple of years. I am so grateful to have this sweet girl in our life!!

Every year the first day of school is a sad day for me! Seeing Cade go off this year will be really sad. Ashby looks so big with her backpack! Where does the time go?!
Emma will be starting kindergarten too! I know what you mean--it is a whole new era. Even with our second, it will still be tough.
