Ashby's 6th Birthday

The invitations (we did 3 different ones because we couldn't decide on which one we liked! :) )Since Ashby's birthday was 6 days after Brooks was born we decided to do a very intimate low-key birthday party for her. Just both sets of grandparents came and Uncle Alex (Ryan's youngest brother). Ashby was a little disappointed she couldn't invite all her cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends, but Daddy made it up to her by taking her on a special birthday outing all day. He picked her up from school and they went to lunch, Scheels, shopping for a birthday present, and picked up her cake and birthday ballons and party decorations. She loved having her special outing just with her Daddy. Grandma and Grandpa Forman also took her on a special birthday outing a few days before her birthday. They went to Fudruckers for dinner and shopping for a early birthday present. It was also fun for Ashby because her birthday fell on a school day so she was able to bring cupcakes to share with everyone in her class. And her teacher had the class sing to her and she got a few presents from her teacher and friends at school. Ashby sure had a fun couple of days!!Ashby the birthday girl before school and Brooks. Ashby absolutely ADORES her little brother. She loves holding him and is such a little mother. I am so grateful to have her to help me.Ashby said her favorite part is decorating the house for the party. She was careful to make little seating tag assignments for everyone herself and put a crown at each of the girls' places. The house decorated for the party. Ashby wanted to do a Ballerina party. The party store only had Barbie Ballerina so that is what we went with. The Happy Birthday Banner we hang up is a homemade fabric banner my sister's friend makes. It is so cool because you can use it year after year and it is so cute. I love it.The cake. Ashby wanted to put her own "polly pocket" barbie ballerina's in the cake.

Ashby opening one of her favorite presents, a tinkerbell music box with a lock and key necklace to open it. She wanted this sooooo bad and was thrilled when she opened it and saw what it was! This year Ashby made sure to tell me she really wanted a card that made music when you opened it. I think she was really surprised I remembered to get her one. She was so excited when she opened the card and heard Sleeping Beauty singing.Ashby with all her presents. Quite a haul.

Happy Birthday Ashby!!
