BROOKS ROBERT BELLOWS
6lbs. 14 oz. 20 inches long. Born Friday February 12th, 2010 at 8:06pm.
He has a lot of brown hair. Kind of surprising since Ashby & Dalton were both born with blonde hair.

My amazing sister Kristi. She took the above pics. We love you Kristi!!!Brooks Robert Bellows arrived 2 days before his actual due date of Valentine's Day. Our Doctor induced labor on Friday, February 12th. We went to the hospital at noon hoping to get my water broken shortly after arriving. However there was a number of delays and the Doctor didn't end up breaking my water until about 5:40 that evening. I had mild contractions 5 minutes apart for about 1 hour, then the Doctor wanted to get things going more speedily with some pitocin. After that I had intense contractions 2 minutes apart for about 2o min. The nurse checked me and found I was ready to push. I pushed for about 1 min. and Brooks was born. It was a quick labor and delivery just as my previous 2 have been; about 2.5 hours after the Doctor had broken my water. I was able to have my 3rd drug free labor and delivery. Pretty crazy to think about.
My parents were actually able to be at the birth. It was very special to have them there. They kept us company while we waited for the Doctor to break my water and they were so supportive during the whole delivery. Quite an experience to share together!!
Stef and Brooks right after delivery.
Me and my parents right after delivery. What a moment!!

Ryan's parents were so great to watch Ashby and Dalton for us. Grandma Bellows brought the kids to the hospital the next day to see Brooks. Ashby and Dalton were in love with Brooks! They couldn't get enough of him. They were so excited to hold him and see him for the first time. It was so fun to watch.

Brooks so far seems like a very calm baby. There is a lot of love to go around at our house for this little guy and we are loving every minute of having him in our family. What an amazing blessing he is already!
