EASTER SATURDAY
In between General Conference sessions we decided to have an Easter egg hunt with all the cousins at the park in our community. Grandma Becky gave each child a certain color egg to look for and stuffed all the eggs with prizes and candy. The kids loved it! It was nice to have it at a park where the kids could play afterwards. They all enjoyed playing together. The cousins really love playing with each other. Grandma Becky was so creative with the stuff that was in the eggs. Each child had one egg filled with magnetic letters that spelled their names, stickers, grow capsules, candy, fruit snacks, coins, little prizes, etc. I liked it because it wasn't just all candy! And the kids really liked the prizes too.
Afterwards my Mom provided a delish picnic lunch for everyone. It was a lot of fun.
Dalton finding all the yellow eggs.
My Mom also got each child a sand bucket to put their eggs in that matched the color they were going to search for. My Mom got Ashby this cute little flower purse to put her eggs in. Ashby LOVED that.
Ashby and Dalton after the hunt. Notice the heavy jackets . . . of course our lovely Reno weather and wind made it quite chilly for the Easter Egg hunt!!
Picnic Lunch
Just before Priesthood Session we let the kids dye some Easter eggs. I was able to snap a few pics before Ryan had to leave. The kids had a lot of fun decorating and dying the Easter eggs.
EASTER SUNDAY

We hid the kids Easter baskets inside the house for them to find. We played the hot and cold game until they found them. Every year we give the kids a new picture of Christ to put in their rooms in their baskets. This year we decided to give them a calendar with different pictures of Christ for each month. They really liked the calendar idea. We also gave them Toy Story 1 and Toy Story 2 DVD's and some candy.
After Conference we went to Ryan's parents house for dinner. They made Ham, beans, potato salad and rolls, and doughnuts for dessert. It was really good. Before we ate dinner Ryan's parents had a little Easter egg hunt set up in their house. Each grandchild had their own color eggs to find. Some eggs had little notes in them directing them to Uncle Alex for prizes or Grandpa. Some eggs also had in them dollar bills, and other little prizes. The kids loved looking all over the house for their eggs.

I love that pic of Brooks- handsome little guy! The Easter egg hunt was a blast and I was also happy they weren't all filled with candy, LOL!
You guys had to wear coats, we had to have chocolate free eggs because of the heat! LOVE the idea of giving each child a color to look for!
PS I remembered your tradition of the picture of Christ in the baskets and we did that this year.
What fun events!! It's so special to spend holidays with family. SOOO FUN!!! Shanna
