Dalton's Room

Since we moved Dalton into a new room and gave Brooks all of Dalton's old furniture we needed to get him a new bed and dresser. We found this great black set at Mor furniture here in town. We were able to get a good deal on the bed because it was a discontinued floor model. I love the black color with the blue walls. We debated a lot on the color of furniture to go with, but I'm glad we went with the black. I really like it. We did a car/transportation theme for Dalton's room. He loves all the cars and trucks on his walls and the bed spread. I really liked this set from Target. I loved all the bright colors and plaid on the bed spread. Gotta love Target. That is where I bought almost his whole room.
I love these great cube shelving units from Target as well. I have these in each of my kids rooms. They are a great in-expensive option for a bookcase or extra storage. You can get the fabric bins and cubes in all different colors.
We found these great black shelves from Michael's. The black bead-board look of the shelves matches the headboard perfectly. I designed some digital paper in Photoshop on the computer to match the plaid on the bedspread. Then I printed in out on some paper and modge podged it onto the letters of his name and the frames on the shelves.

Great work! You are amazing to make matching plaid letters! Too bad we don't live closer to swap ideas!
