Ashby with her wonderful teacher Mrs. Gilkey. She was truly an amazing teacher. We will miss her in 1st grade! She gave the kids some really cool things for their special day. She gave each child a cd of all the pictures she had taken throughout the whole year, an special envelope to open in 2022 (when they graduate H.S.), an art book they have worked all year on, a laminated picture they drew and illustrating what they wanted to be when they grew up.
I can't believe we have a 1st grader now! How crazy is that?! We are so proud of you Ashby!
Ashby's school technically calls this a Kindergarten "Celebration" not a graduation. So they don't have them wear caps and gowns. My sister in law Laura had this great idea to get Ashby a Lei for graduation. What a great idea! Thanks Auntie Laura!!

Ashby's music teacher asked her to sing a solo with another little girl Rachel for graduation. It turned out really cute. Ashby did a great job. She always amazes me with her ability to perform in front of crowds.

They had the kids sing a few songs a lot of them with sign language. Then Mrs. Gilkey had prepared a special musical slideshow of pictures of the whole year in Kindergarten. Then they were called up one by one to receive their certificates. It was short, sweet, and perfect. They did a really nice job.

Ashby had such a great year in Kindergarten. Her teacher was awesome, she made a lot of good friends, she had so much fun, and really matured and grew up a lot. It was such a positive experience for her. She loves school so much, which makes me so happy. Happy Graduation Ashby!!

I was looking at this post with Emma and she thought it was cool to see her 2nd cousin...and MY Aunt Becky too! Now we just need to work on seeing one another in PERSON!
