Easter Sunday

One tradition we have is to put a picture of Christ in each kids Easter basket.  Some years we have done puzzles or books with Christ too.  The kids really like it and I think it helps them remember why we celebrate Easter.  This time Ryan also was able to find these cool wall plaques with this years Primary theme "I know the Scriptures are true" on them.  Of course their baskets also had plenty of candy and these little chirping chicks that were their favorite!  We hid their Easter baskets in their rooms for them to find.  They loved it.
Ashby and Dalton with their baskets.

Brooks was happy with his new church book and a Cars light up toy.
We attempted to take some pics before heading off to church.  No one was too happy or cooperative during this photo shoot(including Ryan)!  Oh well, we tried. :)
Brooks waving and wanting his Daddy to hold him instead of taking his picture!
Church was great and we enjoyed a special musical program for Sacrament Meeting.  I ended up having to teach Ashby's Primary class last minute which was fun.  I felt bad I wasn't able to know ahead of time and prepare more, but the kids didn't seem to mind.
After church we headed over to Grandma & Grandpa Bellows house for a nice dinner and Easter egg hunt for the kids in their backyard.  Dinner was delish and the cousins had fun playing together.
The kids loved hunting for eggs outside.  It was nice the weather wasn't too cold.  One egg each child opened had a note inside telling them to redeem it for a special prize.  The kids loved that!  They each got cool prizes like sticky hands, ball poppers, and bubbles.  Which they enjoyed playing with the rest of the night.
Brooks loved being outside, playing with his eggs and sand bucket, and walking around everywhere.  He would always carry 1 egg in each hand.  He was so fun to watch.  He is just so busy and curious!

Brooks found this little decorative windmill in their yard and loved watching the wind blow it around and around. It made him so happy. He would put his hands in the air and giggle and smile while he watched it.

Dalton finding one of his eggs.
Charge!!  This picture cracks me up.

Look at that concentration trying to open the egg.
We love being able to spend Easter with both our families and spend time together.  It is the best!  I am so grateful for my Savior and Redeemer who died for me and made it possible for me to live with my family forever.  Happy Easter!!

Oh, I love that first Easter when they are old enough to walk on their own and go find the eggs. Too cute!
