Every year I tell myself we are not going to do as many trick or treat activities as last year. Ha ha, it never happens!! So this was our first of a few trick or treat ventures. Ashby and Dalton’s school held its second annual Spooktacular trick or treating in the halls. I wasn’t going to miss this one since it was Dalton’s first year as a Kindergartner and Ashby was equally excited to go. As luck would have it of course Ryan was out of town just like last year. But this year I got smarter and recruited my sweet Mother in law Cheri to come with us. Grandpa Bellows decided to stay at home with Ryder and put him to bed. Thank goodness for wonderful grandparents!!
The kids were so excited to go! I was a little worried because last year it was insane! It was so crowded it wasn’t even enjoyable. This year was so much different. Thank goodness! We walked right in without any wait in line and had so much fun with all the games and trick or treating. There were definitely not as many people as last year and it was so much better.
Brooks was a crack up. He loved all the games. Especially the throwing ones(he is obsessed with throwing things). He caught along very quickly how to trick or treat too. He was so good and stayed with us the whole time, waited it line, took turns, etc. He is finally growing up a little bit. It was so fun just having the 3 older ones and not worry about a fussy tired baby the whole time. Grandpa is the best.
All three kids won something at the cake walk in about 3 minutes. I think that must have been some kind of record! It was crazy!
Brooks adores his Woody costume. He loves the hat and wanted it on his head at all times. If it fell off he was all concerned and wanted it back on immediately.
I’m so glad we ended up going to this one. It was a lot of fun. I really loved watching Dalton with his friends and seeing him get so excited about being at his school. They are both growing up so fast. I love enjoying these moments with them.
