Next on the list was our ward’s trunk or treat party. It was so much fun! They had dinner before hand (a chilli cook-off), then afterwards a ton of games, pumpkin carving contest, and trunk or treating in the church parking lot. It was a great turn-out and the weather was perfect!!
My close friend Megan came dressed up as Jessie from Toy Story. So cute!! The kids were so excited to see her! Brooks couldn’t keep his eyes off her. He kept calling her Jessie and wanted to walk around with her everywhere. It was the cutest thing ever.
This was Brooks looking at Megan dressed up at Jessie when he first saw her. Look at his face!! He couldn’t stop smiling and looking at her.
Ryder finally got to wear his costume for the first time. He loved it. It was the perfect costume for him, he was such a crack up running through the church with his wings flying behind him.
He practices this move to get away from me all the time. I call it the “swim move” a similar technique used in basketball to get around someone who is trying to block you out. It is impossible to defend against. He’s a genius!! :)
This was our first ever “trunk or treat” experience. It was awesome!! People went all out on their trunks. I was impressed. It was so much fun. Brooks loved looking at all the decorations at each car. He kept going back to some over and over again. He kept saying, “That one’s spooky! “or “Look at the skeleton!” He was absolutely fascinated by it all!
Of course Brooks hung out with Jessie all night. He wouldn’t leave her side outside and after awhile wanted her to sit on the ground with him and share some candy. So stinking cute.
Good buddies, Brooks and Ben. Geez, would someone wash that kid’s chocolate face!! :)

What a cute idea, The Trunk or Treat. Looks like people put a lot of work in it.
