Christmas Eve—Live Nativity

Next on our Christmas Eve schedule was dinner and live Nativity at my parents house.  The kids always look forward to this(although I’m not sure my parents do—ha ha).  Ashby was over the moon thrilled to be Mary this year and Dalton loves being a Wiseman with cousins Ben and Sam like last year.  Brooks was excited to be a shepherd but it turns out he was even more excited about the staff to use as a “weapon” instead of herding sheep.  By the end of the night his “weapon” was confiscated by Papa for misuse and never returned.   Oh man what a night!  Ryan and I had our hands full chasing after the two younger boys while trying to watch and enjoy the program.  DSC_33214x6DSC_33184x6DSC_33254x6Ashby and Brock were so cute together.  Mom always does such a great job of setting up a cool Manger scene for the Nativity.  DSC_33264x6 DSC_33294x6DSC_33324x6Ashby was so excited she got to play a few Christmas songs on the piano she has been working on for the program.  She did a great job.DSC_33334x6DSC_33344x6DSC_33354x6DSC_33364x6In came the Wiseman bringing their gifts.  They were so cute and each boy had their parts memorized by heart.  DSC_33394x6

Posing for a quick photo shot.  I had to include all the pics I took.  Some of them just made me smile and laugh.  Plus I had to get a shot with Ryder in there to prove he was actually there!! :) Cousins are the best!  These boys are wild and love to have fun together.DSC_33414x6DSC_33424x6DSC_33454x6 DSC_33464x6 Afterwards my parents tradition is to give the kids and parents books.  I love it and so do the kids!
