Rib Cook-Off

Our favorite ribs this year: Butch's lick my ribs.  Sooooo yummy!  The ribs and the sauce were to die for.

We live for Labor Day weekend every year!  Why?  The Rib Cook-Off of course!  Oh yeah!  We love it.  Ryan and I both grew up in Sparks going with our families every year.  So we have loved to keep the tradition going in our own family.  This year we went on 3 different days.  Once just a date night with no kids on Wednesday.  Which was totally awesome!  Then we went and met my whole family there on Saturday.  The kids loved playing with their cousins and of course eating ribs!  Then we went again on Monday with 3 out of the 4 kids (we got a babysitter for Brooks because it was during his nap time).  The kids had so much fun going on the little carnival rides there and picking out a few toys from the booths.  Dalton picked a marshmallow shooter, an angry birds game, and a windmill.  Ashby picked a parasol, a slap on wrist watch, and a windmill.  They were both thrilled and kept telling us how much fun they had.

Dalton pretended he was in a food eating challenge against Ashby.  He kept eating a rib as fast as he could then telling us to get him another one!  It was hilarious.
