Ashby got Ms. Stover the teacher she wanted and had a great first day of school. She’s a seasoned pro!! We also found out she scored a perfect 500 out of 500 score on her CRT tests for reading. She also scored exceptionally high in Math. So proud of our girl!!
Dalton got Mrs. Concialdi who he wanted and he lucked out and got in the same class as his good friend Tanner too. You can tell how nervous Dalton was in this picture. Awww. He said he had a great first day and he loves 1st grade. Yay!!
Back to school already!! I can’t believe it. Summer was way too short. Ashby is in 4th grade this year and Dalton is in 1st grade. The Sunday before school starts we have a special tradition in our family where Ryan gives the kids(and me) a Father’s blessing. It is such a source of comfort and peace for the kids and me. We also did a special Family Home Evening that night. It was really neat.
So crazy that I have two kids in school full day now!! It’s really weird not having them home. We will definitely miss them. After school I took the kids to Sonic for a special treat. They were both so excited to tell me about their first day of school. I loved hearing about all the fun things they did. It’s going to be a great year!
