Dalton turned 7 on July 10th! I can’t believe my baby boy is seven! Wow time is flying! It has been so fun to watch him learn and grow each year. He is always surprising me with new things he has picked up or learned from somewhere. He is a very active boy who loves to play with his friends and family. He has such a dynamic, fun and loving personality. He is a lot of fun to be around. He makes friends easily wherever he goes. He is very social and loves to be in on the action. He loves school and had so much fun in Kindergarten this year. He likes to read, play video games (especially on his kindle, the ipad or the Wii, he loves to swim and is really great at it. His first swim lesson of the year his instructor had him swim however far he could to gage his stamina; well Dalton swam the entire length of the pool and back!! I think his instructor was surprised. :) He also learned how to dive. Right now he is into collecting Super Mario Brother stuffed animals and playing with them. He saves any money he gets to buy a new one to add to his collection. Dalton still gets frustrated easily with things that are hard, but usually gets over things quickly and will keep trying. He loves building with legos and playing games with his stuffed animals. Ashby and Dalton are great friends and Dalton and Brooks have been playing more and more together. Dalton likes being the big brother and showing the little guys the ropes. He loves surprises. Dalton will often say, “Just surprise me with something!” when I ask him what he wants for lunch or breakfast. His favorite food is still Chinese food. Some of his other favorites are cheeseburgers, Caesar salad, pistachios, and Almond Joys. I feel like Dalton matured a lot this year in school and church. It has been nice to have him be a good example to the boys. He loves reading the Friend magazine to himself at Church now and reading the scriptures at night. We couldn’t ask for a sweeter more loving little boy! Love you Dalty!
For Dalton’s Birthday after his Ninja party (more on that later), Daddy took him to the race cars, the arcade and dinner at Red Robin. Dalton was in Heaven!! It’s always fun to have a Birthday outing with just you and Daddy. Grandma Becky also took Dalton on a Birthday outing a day after his bday. They had a great time eating lunch, shopping, and playing at the house with the dog.
