This Summer I wanted to try this schedule I found online. I thought it was a great idea for a general guideline of what to do each week. Here is the one we tried to follow. For take a trip Tuesday we usually went to the Library then the park. It was one of our favorite outings this Summer.
Ryder is SO busy, but even this little guy after we had been a few times to the Library knew this was a place to read books. Yay! It’s the small victories. :)
For make it Monday we made new recipes, a craft, or art project. We tried making cloud dough from flour and baby oil. It was really cool. The kids loved it. We also got out our giant geoboards.
I’ve been on a smoothie kick lately. The boys LOVE them especially. I pack the drink with spinach, and fresh fruits. It’s a great way to ensure they are getting their fruits and veggies for the day!!
I don’t know why but this picture cracks me up. Ryder and Brooks are like twins. Ryder is getting so big. He loves climbing on the bar stools and sitting like a big boy eating snacks or desserts.
We made it to Pump it Up with some friends one day. All the kids loved it. This was the only picture I got. Ryder was a Wildman there and I was trying to make sure he didn’t hurt himself or more likely someone else. :)We had some fun playdates with friends. This one the girls watched the new AG movie Saige Paints the Sky with their American girls. I braided both their hair like Saige in the movie. Too cute. :)
Ahhh, bath time. Easily my second most favorite time of day (bedtime is first, ha!). The boys love their bath. Afterwards its pajama time and chillin’ with Dad watching some TV, life is goooood. Ashby and Ben at the park. Cousins are the BEST!!
One day we went hunting for good picture spots with my sister and her boys. The kids had so much fun playing on the railroad tracks and all around the park.
Cousins Ben and Dalton took a Bricks for Kids Lego camp together one week. It was called Jr. Robotics. After they built their lego structure they got to make it come to life through the computer. They both had a great time!!
For Wet and Wild Wednesdays we would usually swim at our pool. One day we did the splash park, or sometimes just play in the sprinklers in our backyard. We loved going to the pool with cousins and friends. So fun!
The best part of Summer break was having no set plans. We could just make our own plans for each day and our schedule gave us inspiration on what we might do. I love having no where to be and nothing much to do except play with the kids. Happy Summer!!
