Easter Eggs & FHE

We had a fun Family Home Evening on Monday night.  We did the 12 days of Easter activity.  Except we did it all on one night.  Inside each egg was a scripture and an item that had to do with the story of Jesus Christ resurrection and atonement.  I got the idea from here.  I had the kids pick the eggs in order and open them one at a time.  They really loved it.
We dyed our Easter eggs afterwards.  It was really fun until Dalton squeezed the "no mess" containers too tightly and blue dye spilled everywhere!  All over Dalton's pants, shirt, floors, and the walls. We probably spent a good 30 minutes cleaning everything up.  Good times.  Next year we will stick with the cups and whisks to dip the eggs.
Brooks did not want to participate in FHE or the egg dying in case you were wondering why he is not pictured. :)

Here is the finished product in Dalton's cute little Easter basket he made at preschool.  Happy Easter!!
