We decided last minute to take a quick trip down to Cedar City to visit with Ryan's grandparents for the weekend. His grandma has not been doing well and we really wanted to spend some time with her. We drove down with Ryan's parents on Friday and drove back on Sunday morning. It is an eight hour drive so it was a lot of driving in a short amount of time for the kids (and adults) :) but well worth it. Grandma and Grandpa were able to see Ryder for the first time. We enjoyed visiting with family and having the kids see their great grandparents. Plus any extra time we get to spend with Daddy is the best!
We found a really great park about 2 minutes from Grandma and Grandpa's house called Park Discovery. It was the coolest park I have ever seen. It was huge and had so many neat things for the kids to explore and do. It was like a giant wood maze of tunnels, slides, bridges, and stairs. The kids LOVED it.
The pictures from my iphone don't really do the park justice. It was so huge and cool!
They had a giant swing the boys loved, especially Brooks.
The little monkey's swinging on the tree! It doesn't get much better than this for the little ones. They all love to climb and swing.
Cedar is a small city but it has some pretty cool things to do there. We discovered a new indoor water park and pool recreation center there. It looked really fun. Next time we will have to bring the kids swimsuits. They also have some great restaurants and places to shop. I made two prosperous trips to DownEast Outfitters while we were there. Yay for me! :)
Even though it was a short trip with a lot of sitting in the car the kids all did really well. I'm glad we made the trip and I know we made some wonderful memories for the kids to always have.
