We love Valentine's Day in our family! It is one of our favorite Holidays. The kids love when all the Valentine's decorations are up around the house, especially their little mailboxes. Everyone tries to sneak new Valentine notes into the mailboxes each day or several times a day. The kids love checking to see if they got anything new throughout the day. It was the cutest to see the kids write eachother Valentine's and watch their reactions when they discovered a new one in their boxes. The little notes Ashby would write to me and Ryan were so precious.
We got the kids a few little presents on actual V-day to put in their mailboxes. They woke up and were so excited to see their mailboxes filled with little treats and the cute monkeys hanging from the tops.
Dalton said the sweetest prayer one night during family prayer. It was the day before Valentine's Day and he prayed that we could all celebrate the love we have for eachother on this special day. It was so cute.
The kids checking out their loot!
Brooks was happy about his new books and candy.
It was so sad on Valentine's Day Ashby was very sick. She could hardly sit up the whole day. She just laid around and felt awful all day. We were so thankful when she got better a few days later. I can tell in these pics how sick she was. The poor thing.
Ryder was smiling so cute for me when I started snaping some quick pics of the kids. I love this little guy.
Dalton had a fun preschool party for Vday. Miss Susan's house was all decorated in red with hearts everywhere. It looked so fun! He loved signing his name to all the Valentines and giving them to his friends. His teacher said when he got Valentine's from his friends at school he would say, "Thank you and I love you." I thought that was so funny. He cracks me up.
We were supposed to have Ashby's game to go to on Vday but since she was sick we all stayed home and ate Outback takeout for dinner. It was so good! They have brought back my favorite dessert on their menu, the Sydney's sinful Sundae. It was a great night.
Good thing Ashby had her class Valentine's party the Thursday before Vday so she didn't miss out being sick on Valentine's Day. For her party we did her hair in a little heart with a cute ribbon. Girls are so fun!
