I don't know what it is about January but it always seems like the month to change things up around the house. I have been wanting to do a picture gallery on our staircase wall since we moved into this house 6 years ago. Well I finally did it. Thanks to my sisters help and creativity we created something that I love. Here is the finished product.
Another project I have been wanting to get done is have pictures of all 4 kids on the entry way wall. We have had just Ashby and Dalton on the wall for at least a couple of years so it was about time the two younger brothers joined them! I love that this is the first thing people see when they come into our house. Plus it gives me a great incentive to always have a recent family picture done. Haha. Ryan just loves that!! :)
Next we gave away our little Rose Petal Cottage play house to our cousin Katia and in its place put in a flat screen T.V., a toy organizer and some bean bag chairs. This is now the game nook. The kids love it. We figure with 3 boys this will get more use than the girls play house! :)
It is great because now I can do my workout videos downstairs while the kids watch T.V. , play video games, or play upstairs. Basically they don't bug me when I workout anymore! Ha! I'm awful aren't I?! But I think this will be a great hang-out place for the kids with their friends as they get older too.
We found this great toy organizer at Coscto. It was a great price and I love how the bins are oversized and fit a lot of stuff. I also love the little spaces on the bins to write down what is in them! I still need to make labels for those. :)
Dalton playing Super Mario Brothers. Both the kids favorite game to play on the Wii hands down(and mine too)!
