A look back---Happy 2nd Birthday Brooks!!

Brooks turned 2 years old today!   It is so fun to look back at old pictures and see how much he has changed and grown up. We love this little guy so much.  His smile melts our hearts.  He has so much happy energy!  I love that about him.  He is always smiling.

Brooks is talking a lot and is a good communicator.  He loves learning new words and saying them to us.  He is funny how he mimics the tone of our voice when he speaks. 

Brooks is very active and busy. He just goes, goes, goes all day long. He loves to climb on anything and everything in our house. He figured out early how to scoot the bar stools all over the kitchen to get things that are high up. It drives me crazy! He is a pro at the stairs and goes up and down so fast without holding onto to anything it is kind of scary.  He loves putting things together with his hands like puzzles and building things.  He can figure out how things work quickly.

He loves to sing.  Music or singing songs to him calms him down almost instantly.  His favorite songs are, "ABC's, Twinkle, Twinkle, Once their was a Snowman, and I am a child of God."  He loves going to Nursery on Sundays.  It has been such an easy transition for him.  It is so nice!

Brooks still takes 1 nap a day usually 2-3 hours long.  He goes to bed at 7pm and gets up 6-7am.  He loves his blankets and books before bed.  If he ever does sit still for a couple of minutes it is when he is reading a book.  He loves books.  He loves bathtime too.  He runs to the bathroom so fast when he hears us even mention the word "bath".

Brooks loves to eat.  In fact I think he would eat all day if I let him.  He is always trying to get into the pantry for food.  Some of his favorites are yogurt, cereal with milk, oatmeal, pizza, strawberries, apples, oranges, and pears.  He also goes crazy over the not so healthy foods like suckers, chocolate, juice, fries, cheetos, and ice cream.  He LOVES ice cream!

Brooks loves to play with his brothers and sister.  He is really attached to Ashby.  He will go to her when he is sad or hurt.  She can comfort him easily with a hug or a kiss.  They play really cute together.  Brooks and Dalton on the other hand can get pretty wild playing together.  They like wrestling and running crazy around the house.   He is really cute with Ryder.  He is gentle with him and loves to make him laugh.

Happy Birthday Brooks!  We love your happy face and joyful personality.  Love you little guy.
